Pumpkins, Pumpkins, Pumpkins
We love fall and what a gorgeous one we have had this year. Met the Scanlons and Wadleys (along with Jackson Roulst) on Saturday for pumpkin picking and then back to the DiOrio's for carving! Gracie was a bit crabby at the patch -- go figure. Kids are funny. Spent days talking about it, could hardly wait to leave on Saturday morning and then.........crabby pants. Luckily she perked up and all was good. It was nothing that a little carmel popcorn couldn't fix!

Gracie "the Whiner"
So I've decided that we must be giving Gracie a complex as a whiner. Not that it is not applicable at times but not ALL the time. Maybe the constant "STOP WHINING" has something to do with it.....Anyways, daycare was closed yesterday so I took the opportunity to take a vacation day and do something fun with Miss Grace. We both love to go to the movies. The entire experience appeals to us. The movie, the popcorn, soda and candy. All good! We saw Open Season (very cute I might add). Throughout the day and the movie, she was pretty good. Had a few moments throughout the day, but nothing major. As I was tucking her into bed last night I asked her if she had a fun day with mommy? Did she enjoy the movie? And then thanked her for being a good girl. She promptly informed me with a laugh that "she was NOT a good girl, she was a WHINER! " Too funny. I had to disagree with her until she woke me up at just 11:00 pm WHINING and saying "I want you". Spent the next 20 minutes getting her to stay and go back to sleep in her bed. Good Times! And I don't even mean that sarcastically -- if Gracie was perfect all the time, I wouldn't have these great stories to share.

Gotta share this Gracie story from yesterday. Gracie and I were at the Post Office and I ran into an old co-worker of mine, Russell. After we visited for a few, we said our goodbyes and when we got in the car Gracie asked again how I know him so I explained and also told her he did not work for me anymore. First she wanted to know why his name is "Wrestle" like when you play around on the floor. That killed me...so I said his name slower so she could hear the difference between Wrestle and Russell. TOO FUNNY. Then she wanted to know if he did not work with me any more what did he do? I told her he was a firefighter now. She immediately retorted with "well, if he is a firefighter why isn't he somewhere squirting something with water?. What a smart-alec, ya think? At that point I really started to laugh at which she got mad because she thought I was laughing AT her. I tried to explain she made "a funny" but she wasn't buying it. Ahhhh..to be 4 again.
Here we are again...
Hello Family and Friends ~
I am attempting another blog in an effort to actually "get it", post pictures, tell funny family stories, etc. since I cannot seem to keep a journal. I am so missing out on sharing great Gracie stories as she grows up. I can't tell any of Aaron's anymore...they are completely "TMI" most of the time. Anyways....tooks some pictures of Gracie on September 26th for her 5th bday invites. Thought they would be a good start on the new blog.
I'll do my best to keep this one rolling! :) Kris
