Finally -- Gracie lost 1st tooth!!

Yesterday was a big day for Gracie. She finally had a loose tooth and she pulled it out at school yesterday! She could not be more excited! Especially when she showed us the dollar the Tooth Fairy put under her pillow. I've never seen her so perky in the morning! She is even more excited that the tooth next to it is loose as well. I am not surprised since the tooth coming in seems HUGE in her tiny mouth ~ if you look close you can see it in the picture. Our little girl is growing up.......

Happy 7th Birthday Gracie

Gracie turned 7! How quickly the years go by. 1st grade is going good. She has picked up on her math quickly ~ a little slower on her reading but she will get there I am sure. Other Gracie news: She finally has her 1st official loose tooth. She is so happy you would think she hit the lottery!! She asked me if I was going to try a string to it and shut the door ~ too funny. Of course I said "sure if that's how you want it to come out". She backed out of course. HA!!

Hope all is well with all of you. Love, The DiOrio's

HAPPY HALLOWEEN 2008

In the years past Gracie has been something cute for Halloween. Ladybug, Tinkerbell, Kitty, etc. But this year she told me she wanted to be something scary. She decided to be Vampira. As Halloween approached she could not wait to get dressed up and specifically reminded me that she "gets to have blood on her mouth". Yikes!

Thanks again to the Hayes for letting us crash your neighborhood. Gracie loves trick r treating with Maddy and we love the pizza and beer!!

I hope everyone had a goulishly good Halloween!!

Annual Spooners Pumpkin Patch

We met the Wadleys, Steiners and we brought 2 of the Scanlon kids to Spooner Farms. We do this each year to get out pumpkins. The weather could not have been more perfect! We love this tradition and it amazes me how the kids change each year.

Jake Scanlon "pushing the envelope" He kepe BEGGING to get to go in the mud! He just stood right at the very edge. Too funny.

Coy Steiner looking adorable with his pumpkin.

Jaiden Scanlon and Gracie. So many pumpkins to choose from!

Say cheese! Jaiden and Jake Scanlon, Gracie and Kamy Wadley

Jake, Kamy, Jaiden and Gracie hangin' with the cow. MOOOOO!

Annual Puyallup Fair

Here I am! Did you miss me? HA! Here are just a few pics from the fair. Did not get too many this year ~ but a few cute ones on the swings with Carlie, Gracie and Maddy and a video from the slide. Gracie as usual wanted to go on all the biggest rides she could. If she could just get a few more inches....
She did not get that from me...I like my feet planted securely on the ground!

Easton/Lake Kachess

We know our girls are not "little" any more when they are ridin' quads!! Check out this video of our "big girls" -- Maddy taking Gracie for a ride. Gracie wanted to ride by herself SOOO BAD. Carlie gave her a few lessons. She did pretty good but not ready to try it on her own. (Sorry it is so shaky ~ I decided to video at the last minute).

Gracie and Reese Milligan playing at Lake Kachess with Bailey and Bo.

The kids were catching little fish with buckets (we were all sharing our own memories of doing the same thing when we were kids). Gracie is gross though....she squished hers with her fingers....yuck! She is her fathers daughter...ha!!

Kevin taking Gracie for a ride.

Daddy taking her for a ride too...she could not get enough. You can actually see her smile thru the helmet!

Gracie's officially a 1st grader!

Look at our Miss Gracie all grown up. Yesterday was her 1st day of 1st grade and it seemed to go well. She likes her teachers Mrs. Tumlin and Mrs. Daniels and we are looking forward to how much she learns this year. I have to say I did shed a little tear after I dropped her off. Brought back lots of memories of Aaron's first day and we miss him so much. Check out the 1st grade picture of Aaron from 1992. Seems like it was yesterday! Hope everyone's first days were great.
Love to all.
Kris and Carlie

Labor Day 2008

Thank you Carl and Debbie for another great Labor Day. Although the weather could have been better, we are all so grateful to have had this time to spend with family. XXOO

Summertime 2008

Hard to believe it is already almost the end of August. Labor Day is around the corner and for most of us the kids will start school again. Our Miss Gracie will be a big 1st grader. I have said it many times, but I know I will blink and she will be graduating! So we have been trying to enjoy as much time as we can with her as well as grab what's left of the summer. We spent this past weekend at the Roulst's property near Yelm -- love these summertime pictures. Enjoy!

They have this cool tree that grew in a big curve..the kids loved climbing it.

The Dogs

We were playing with the dogs on Sunday evening and thought I would share some pics.

Carlie, Chaps, Gracie and Tank
Tank with his "stick". We always talk about what a jaw Tank has and this is a great example. How he can lug logs around like that I'll never know. Not an easy task to throw it for him that is for sure!

Gracie snuggling up to our Chaps....he is 9. Starting to look like an old man. His daddy Gunner passed away this year..at 16!!

Gracie and Tank -- he is 8.

Hayes Picnic July 2008

Just a few pictures from Larry and Karen's picnic a few weekends ago. The weather went back and forth, but a few sprinkles didn't get us down! It was a great day to spend with family. Thank you Larry and Karen for hosting!

The girls...and a couple of bunnies.

Gracie and Reese hitting the slide.

Gracie liked to get her "bounce on". Check out the clouds in the background. Yikes!

Look at those cute butts...Hannah, Gracie and Ally

Maddy and Gracie teeter-tottering. They love "Hayes Land".

Seaside, OR - Happy 4th of July 2008

Another trip to Seaside this year. The weather wasn't the best we have had, but we couldn't complain - we were just happy to be there together. Don't have too many pictures as some are loaded at my home computer, but here are a few to share. The kids got matching sweatshirts which made for a fun/great picture. We have Dylan, Gracie, Haley, Cara, Kaitlyn and Kayla.

Carlie, me, Cara and Gracie went looking sand dollars one morning. Lots of fun!

Gracie NEVER goes back to bed, but after our sand dollar hunt, she was wiped out.

Cara and Gracie had to ride the tilt a whirl of course. Gracie is a maniac..even Cara said she wanted to go faster!

I have some other really great pictures....if I can figure out out to get them off the site and on my computer, I will add some later as I have some good ones (although I have a feeling that is not going to happen!! HA).

Kindergarten Graduate

Our Miss Gracie is officially a 1st Grader! Time is just wizzing by and the thought of her starting elementary school this fall just blows us away. She attended Kindgarten thru Kindercare and although we had some initial concerns, it turned out to be great. She was in all day school with only 6 other children and her teacher, Miss Rolf was wonderful. We are so proud of you Gracie!

Gracie before the ceremony at home next to her Great Grandma Bev's Peonies.

Gracie with a few other "class of 2008 "graduates/friends. Abby, Stephanie and Gracie.

Gracie with Miss Rolf and her diploma.

We did have a little excitement at the ceremony. We had to evacuate the building due to smoke. Smelled like an electrical problem and there was alot of smoke. I have to admit..it was a little scary. Turned out to be a belt in the furnace is all, but made for a good story!

"Home Sweet Home" Dance Recital

Gracie was a part of the YMCA dance program this year. She was in a hip/hop/tap class and they had a recital on June 7, 2008. The theme was Home Sweet Home so there were dances for each "room". Gracie's class was in the garage and performed a dance to "Bob the Builder". Here are some pictures to share.
Our little "mechanic"

The Scanlon girls were there to dance as well! Too cute! Thank you to the Scanlon family for all your help with rehersal while I was having my procedure - we appreciate it so much!

Gracie with her friend Molly. They have known each other since they were 2 thru Kindercare and have stayed fast friends. Miss Molly was a French Maid...oh la la.

Here is a picture of the garage set on rehersal night.

Also, thank you Daddy for being Mr. Mom....you were AWESOME!! It all went without a hitch. We were also so glad that Aaron, Grandma Debbie, Grandma Barb, Auntie Kelly and Auntie Carleena could share in her day. It meant alot to her that you were there.

Aaron - June 2008

As you may know, Aaron was able to come home in June for 2 weeks to be with me during my port/lymphnode procedure. Finally getting a chance to try and get back on the blog....I have missed you all and post some pictures. Some you may have seen, some maybe not. But I will update to keep as my own little journal to look back on every know and then, ya know?!

Aaron swinging with Gracie -- what a good brother!
Aaron and Gracie on the Scammon's quad.
Aaron giving Cara a big "cousin" hug....she was lovin' it ~ can't ya tell. HA!!
